FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Anyone looking for resources and information about disability services in Northeast Indiana should head to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum for the 2024 Disability Expo.
On Saturday, 138 vendors offering products and services for people with disabilities and their caregivers will be open to the public at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Disability Expo will feature a variety of events, from entertainment by artists to adaptive sports demonstrations by Turnstone.
“There is something for everyone to enjoy at Disability Expo,” says event coordinator Andie Mosley. “Whether you’re looking for resources for yourself or a loved one, or simply want to learn how to become an advocate, the day will be filled with information, entertainment, and all-around fun.”
The event is hosted by the AWS Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities live as independently as possible.
The fair will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave. Admission is free, and parking is free if you let attendants know you’re there for the Disabled Fair.
The AWS Foundation encourages people who have difficulty walking long distances or using a wheelchair to be dropped off at the entrance to the Conference Center.
