HOWLEY, PA — People with disabilities and their families can meet with representatives from MyCIL (Northeastern Pennsylvania Center for Independent Living) at Pennsylvania State Senator Lisa Baker’s office (2512 Rte. 6, Suite 3) on Thursday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Information and resources will be made available to access home- and community-based services, transportation, housing and other assistance.
“Providing education about available benefits is essential to enable people with disabilities to enhance and maintain their independence,” Baker said.
Programs include ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) accounts to help people save for the future and the IWantToWork program to help them enter the job market.
