CDCR Searches for Inmates Who Disappeared from Los Angeles County Women’s Community Reintegration Program

LOS ANGELES – California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) officials are searching for an individual who withdrew from the Women’s Community Reentry Program (FCRP) in Los Angeles on June 13, 2024.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., staff were alerted that inmate Erica N. Ybarra, 37, had left the FCRP facility. Staff immediately began a search and conducted an emergency investigation. Ybarra’s removed ankle monitor was found near the facility. CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety and local law enforcement were notified and are assisting with the search.

Ibarra is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs approximately 175 pounds, has brown eyes and brown hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray T-shirt and white shoes.

Ibarra was admitted to Los Angeles County on January 9, 2024 and sentenced to two years in prison for second-degree robbery. She has been housed at FCRP Los Angeles since May 15, 2024.

Anyone who sees Ibarra or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact police or call 9-1-1.

FCRP allows eligible offenders incarcerated in state prisons to serve the end of their sentence in a reentry center, providing them with the programs and tools they need to transition from incarceration to society. It is a voluntary program for female offenders serving sentences of two years or less. The program connects offenders to a variety of community-based rehabilitation services that help with substance use disorders, mental health, medical care, employment, education, housing, family reunification, and social supports.

Since 1977, 99 percent of people who leave adult facilities, camps or community-based programs without authorization have been arrested.
