GLASSELL PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Lionel Messi is one of soccer’s superstars: His Argentina team won the World Cup two years ago, and he draws huge crowds wherever his Inter Miami team plays.
A new exhibition is opening here in Los Angeles that follows his career in an interactive way.
From the moment you step into the Messi Experience, you’ll learn about the journey of one of the greatest soccer players of all time.
“Not many people know the struggles he’s had to go through to get to this point,” said Primo Entertainment co-founder David Rosenfeld. “It hasn’t always been easy for him. There’s been a lot of struggles, a lot of challenges, a lot of criticism throughout his career.”
Nine interactive installations with immersive spaces will make you feel like you’re part of key moments in Lionel Messi’s life and career, from his early days in Rosario, Argentina, to his illustrious career with Barcelona.
“Each room is unexpected and you never know what’s going to be in the next room. That’s kind of the mystery of it all,” Rosenfeld said.
The experience will take you through the ups and downs of Messi’s career, and also give you the opportunity to play games and compete against friends and family.
Messi was instrumental in creating this experience.
“He’s very humbled and very excited and happy because this is something that’s never happened before in the world, especially for an athlete,” Rosenfeld said.
Fans seem to love experiencing their own “Messi moment”.
“Without a doubt, people will walk out saying, ‘Wow,'” Rosenfeld said, “and of course they’ll get to take selfies with Messi, which makes them ecstatic!”
The Messi Experience will officially open on Friday, June 14th and will be available in Los Angeles for a limited time only.
