The new disability benefit is aimed at recipient group 4.

Most Social Security disability payments have already been deposited into the checking accounts of national recipients, but there’s one payment that has yet to reach U.S. households as of June 2024. This latest payment is only for retirees in Group 4, so if you’re in this group, you could soon see the money land in your checking account.

To get your payment on June 26, 2024, you just need to be in Group 4 of retirees. Of course, you also need to have direct deposit enabled, which is the fastest way to collect. Either way, if you’re in Group 4, the administration will send you your Social Security Disability benefits right away.

Who will receive the new Social Security Disability Benefits?

As we have already mentioned, this new payment will arrive on June 26th. At the very least, the administration will transfer the payment to disability recipients in group 4. You just need to check if you meet the requirements and you will be able to receive the payment on that day.

To receive Social Security on the 26th day, the conditions are as follows:

Your retirement must have been approved after May 1997. Your birthday must be between the 21st and 31st of each month.

These two requirements are necessary for the Social Security Administration to pay disability benefits on this date. If we were not in this group, the money would already be in our checking account because other beneficiaries have already received their benefits.

It’s also good to remember that enabling direct deposit means you may be able to receive your check the same day it’s sent, so if you don’t want to have to wait any time to enjoy your disability benefits, enable direct deposit.

Other disability benefits

After the June 26 payment, you’ll have to wait until July to get your new Social Security check. Your next payment is July 1 and will be for Supplemental Social Security Income.

This payment will be paid to both disability recipients and other retired groups. All you need to do is receive the check in advance. Nevertheless, this payment is not just for retired people, non-retired citizens can also receive this payment without any problems.

The maximum check for this benefit is $943 and can be received immediately if you have direct deposit enabled, so if you are approved for both disability benefits, you could receive your June 26th payment and your July 1st payment in just a few days.
