Los Angeles Fire Department personnel attempted to put out the blaze, but were eventually able to bring it under control within 10 minutes due to crowds and vehicles blocking access to the burning vehicle.

No arrests were made and the remains of both vehicles were seized, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
