Diddy sells LA mansion, leaves town after federal investigation

Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly looking to sell his Los Angeles mansion and move out of town for good, months after the Department of Homeland Security searched the property as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation.

The 54-year-old hip-hop mogul is looking to sell the home he bought 10 years ago for $40 million for $70 million, a source with knowledge of the matter told TMZ on Wednesday.

The Bad Boy Records founder reportedly has no plans to seek out a new home in the area.

Combs is currently primarily based in Miami (federal agents searched another home of Combs’ in March), but was spotted rafting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming over the weekend, according to the outlet.

In May, two months after the raid, CNN released hotel security footage from 2016 that showed Combs brutally beating his then-girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie Ventura. Combs quickly admitted to and apologized for the assault, saying he was “disgusted” at the time and still is.

Ventura, 37, sued Combs in November, accusing him of rape, sex trafficking and physical abuse over a period of years. The suit was settled the next day, but other accusers have since filed suit against Combs, accusing him of sexual assault, harassment and drugging.

In late May, a source told CNN that witnesses were being prepared to testify before a New York City grand jury and that Combs could soon be indicted on federal charges.

In response to the lawsuit and the surveillance video, the Harlem native returned an honorary key to the city of New York that he was awarded in September.

In a formal letter to Combs’ New York and Los Angeles offices in June, Mayor Adams wrote that he was “deeply disturbed” by what he saw in the video and that Combs was no longer considered “a role model for other and future New Yorkers,” and asked that the keys be handed over.

And last week, the city of Miami Beach rescinded the prestigious “Sean Diddy Combs Day” that was bestowed on the music mogul in 2016.
