Los Angeles Police Searching for Driver After Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in North Hollywood

Los Angeles Police detectives are searching for the driver of a car that struck a pedestrian in North Hollywood and fled the scene.

Police said the pedestrian suffered “serious injuries” and was taken to hospital.

Police say the incident happened on Sherman Way near Coldwater Canyon Boulevard on Wednesday around 4:35 p.m.

The pedestrian was walking outside the crosswalk when he was struck by a white Infiniti sedan, which failed to stop to identify himself or herself or to render assistance as required by law.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the unidentified pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department on Friday circulated photos of actual vehicles involved in accidents to draw attention to requirements for motorists to stop after a crash, call emergency services and remain at the scene.
