SSI and SSDI Disability Benefits
The next wave of disability benefits will be paid soon, with some payments on the way soon: The Social Security Administration will send new SSDI payments on July 24 to eligible recipients.
To receive SSDI on July 24, you must first meet the birthdate requirement, but that’s not enough because you must have received benefits after April 30, 1997, and not have been receiving another disability benefit, Supplemental Security Income.
Disability benefits for July 24th
If you meet all the essential requirements, you must have been born on or after the 20th to receive Social Security Disability Insurance on July 24th. This is your last chance to receive a direct deposit or check from the SSA in July.
This monthly payment averages $1,537, except if you’ve been a high earner for 35 years and filed for disability benefits close to full retirement age, you could receive up to $3,822.
This will be your last payment for July, so let’s take a look at your next Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance payments for August.
SSI and SSDI disability benefits will be paid in early August
Supplemental Security Income payments will be made on August 1. Checks or direct deposits will be available for up to $943 (individuals) or $1,415 (couples). However, September payments must be paid in advance, so August 30 is the new payment date.
Because September 1st falls on a weekend, the SSA cannot send payments on Sunday. If you become eligible for Social Security benefits on the 3rd, your payment date will also change.
SSDI recipients who receive SSI and Social Security or received benefits before May 1997 will receive their checks on Aug. 2, 2024. After that, if your birthday is between the 1st and 10th of the month, you will receive your SSDI payment on Wednesday, Aug. 14th.
