Los Angeles-based rapper Blxst says his home was burglarized this week while he was away, even though his family was there.
He said his Encino home was targeted early Tuesday morning, and released surveillance camera footage showing the moment three hooded men entered through a glass door.
“Imagine traveling across the country away from your family at the height of your career, only to wake up at 4am when your son FaceTimes you and says, ‘I think there are bad people in the house,'” the rapper wrote on Instagram. “Words cannot express the frustration and emptiness in my heart and soul of not being able to be there to protect my boys.”
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, investigators say the burglary occurred at a home in the 16000 block of Morrison Avenue around 2:50 a.m. They also note that two children and one adult were inside the home at the time of the incident when the suspect broke into a first-floor window.
It is unclear what was taken from the home at the time.
No injuries were reported and police have not announced any arrests in connection with the incident.
Blxst’s debut studio album, “I’ll Always Come Find You,” was released on Friday.
