World Brain Day 2023 was a huge success, raising awareness about the disorder on a global scale. Our campaign reached more than 123 countries and garnered active support from millions of people from diverse backgrounds. Our coalition of organizations, patient advocacy groups, professional associations, traditional media and social platforms laid a solid foundation for continued advocacy efforts.
At the heart of our success was the World Brain Day 2023 webinar, with active participation from 29% of registered participants. The event was truly borderless, with regions from Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, North America and South America represented.
During the designated World Brain Day month of July 2023, our Facebook posts reached an astounding 4,490,063 people and saw a 260% increase in new likes. World Neuro Federation’s Instagram presence soared to 44,281, gaining 10.9K new followers and a staggering 670.8% increase in profile visits during the same period.
On Twitter (now known as X), World Brain Day generated great traction and saw a significant increase in impressions, from just 5,956,000 impressions in July 2022 to 136,393,000 between July 17 and July 25, 2023. We’re grateful to numerous global organizations, including our partners in the Global Neurological Alliance, for sharing our content widely.
Our impact has also been felt in prestigious neurology journals such as the Lancet Neurology and the Journal of Clinical Neurosciences, sparking wider discussion on the topic of disability – highlighting the far-reaching impact of World Brain Day 2023.
Looking ahead, don’t forget to mark World Brain Day 2024 on your calendar. The exact date is July 22, 2024. Stay tuned and join us in our mission to promote quality neurology and brain health for all. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no one is left behind.
