Many seniors and adults with disabilities who are enrolled in Medicaid’s STAR+PLUS program will have to choose a new health insurance plan.
STAR+PLUS is one of Medicaid’s largest programs serving this vulnerable population who typically require specialized medical care and support services. Why does the health insurance plan you choose matter?
Each health insurance plan has a different network of physicians and specialists, value-added services (additional benefits), and home and community-based support providers. Community First Health Plan is the only local health insurance plan option for residents of Bexar County and seven surrounding counties.
