“I want to make it clear to fans who are unhappy about the recent tauba tauba video on social media after winning the England title. I did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments. We respect every individual and community. And the video was just to showcase our bodies after 15 days of continuous cricket. Our bodies are sore. It was not my intention to insult or offend anyone. But if people still think we have done something wrong then that’s all I can say. I am sorry everyone. Let’s stop here and move forward. Stay happy and healthy. Love to you all. Regards,” Harbhajan said.

Disability rights group slams former Indian cricketer

After the video caught the attention of netizens on social media, the National Platform for Disability Rights came down heavily on the famous cricketers, calling the post an “utterly shameful act.” “Words are not enough to condemn such an act, especially coming from people who are considered national heroes. Such a degrading act only exposes their utter insensitivity and rudeness,” the National Platform for Disability Rights said.

Arman Ali, executive director of the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Persons with Disabilities, has urged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take cognizance of the video. “It is disgusting to see top Indian cricketers mocking a disability. It is a shameful and cruel act by players who are revered by the masses. Shame on them. We urge the BCCI to immediately take notice of this matter,” he said. A police complaint has been filed against the former Indian team stars.
