Hope for Firefighters fundraiser held in downtown Los Angeles

The 27th annual “Hope for Firefighters” event, benefiting the Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firefighters Fund, was held Thursday in downtown Los Angeles.

KTLA’s Mary Beth McDade hosted the event, which featured 20 sponsored teams competing in the Firefighter Games for trophies and prizes.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass attended the event, which raised funds through sponsorships, meal voucher sales, raffles and the sale of LAFD merchandise.

The event featured live music, food from 25 LAFD fire stations, fire truck demonstrations and firefighter team games, with all proceeds benefiting the LA Firefighters Relief Association’s Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firefighters Fund.
