Police said the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department was investigating the suspects in connection to previous “flash robberies” and knew the suspects had previously sold stolen goods at a store in the 2700 block of West Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood.
While officers from the Special Investigations Unit were conducting surveillance at the store, they saw three people matching the description of the suspects arriving in a black BMW.
“Three suspects matching the suspect description provided by the LAPD exited the vehicle carrying what appeared to be new clothing and a box of shoes,” the LAPD said in a written statement. “The three suspects then entered the store with the merchandise. Once the suspects from the East Los Angeles incident entered the store, members of the ORCTF executed a search warrant.”
Police arrested Trevian Holmes, 36, of Inglewood, and Aaron Israel, 42, of Los Angeles, on suspicion of being felon in possession of a firearm, and Brian McKing, 24, Jahiem Gillette, 21, and Devontay Pinson, 24, on suspicion of robbery.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers found a firearm, cash and numerous other items stolen from two local stores. Police said personnel from the affected retailers responded and identified the stolen merchandise.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the retail theft ring is asked to contact 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247).
