Los Angeles Emmy Awards: Sam Rubin wins posthumous award

At the 76th annual Local Emmy Awards announced by the Television Academy on Saturday, KCET led all Los Angeles TV stations with 10 awards, the most of any station. They were followed by KVEA and Spectrum News 1 with four each, ABC7 and CBS2/KCAL9 with three each and KTLA5 and Spectrum Sports Net with two each.

KTLA5 won two Emmys, one of which went to veteran KTLA entertainment reporter Sam Rubin, who died of a heart attack in May, for his coverage of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Three stations share the honors of regular newscasts at different times: Spectrum News 1 (mornings), KCAL (daytime) and KVEA (evenings).
