It’s official… LA has the most fun Independence Day celebrations in the entire USA. Of course, it’s no secret that LA knows how to throw a great party, but this new study from WalletHub has the official data to prove that LA also throws the best Star-Spangled parties and events.

“The best cities for the holiday offer affordable dining options, good weather, fun recreational options, and long, spectacular fireworks shows to help you make the most of the day,” says WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe. To determine the best and worst cities to celebrate Independence Day, WalletHub compared the 100 most populous cities in the United States. They looked at:

The great weather in Los Angeles is one of the reasons we can celebrate Independence Day in such a fantastic way. Warm, beautiful weather is almost predictable, making it perfect for outdoor parties and fireworks displays. There’s no need to closely monitor the weather or plan alternative indoor activities just in case. So you can feel free to invite the whole neighborhood over for carne asada and a barbecue, knowing that the weather is almost always great.

Plus, planning your Independence Day celebration is easy with LA’s many party supply stores — believe it or not, LA has the second-most party supply stores per capita in the world — so grab all your favorite decorations and get ready to rock your party this year.

According to WalletHub, buying supplies for July celebrations is relatively affordable compared to other parts of the U.S. (Of course, your wallet might not feel that way when you get to the register.) Plus, Los Angeles residents get so excited about Independence Day celebrations that they Google more Fourth of July-related terms than people in most other cities.

And of course, LA has us excited because there are so many amazing events and celebrations happening all week around the city. Los Angeles is fun all summer long, but Independence Day is the day we shine. There are block parties, pool parties, parades, brunches, outdoor movie theaters, theme park parties, and of course, an amazing fireworks display. There are so many great spots to watch the twinkling light show.

Come out to our great city and have a great time on the 4th of July, rest assured that you will be celebrating Independence Day in the greatest city in America.
