Employment support for people with disabilities

Our Goals

LVMH is firmly committed to integrating people with disabilities into the workplace and has launched inclusive programs to improve accessibility, employ people with disabilities and support them in performing at their best in the workplace. The Group values ​​the unique contribution that people with disabilities make to the tradition of excellence promoted by its Maisons.

In 2021, LVMH signed the International Labor Organization (ILO) Global Business & Disability Network Charter, setting the goal of increasing the proportion of people with disabilities in its global workforce to 2% by 2025. Currently, 1.6% of LVMH employees are people with disabilities.

Our goal: to double the number of employees with disabilities globally by 2025.

Our Actions

Since 2007, the LVMH Disability Advocacy Team has been coordinating the Group’s international efforts and contributing to the development of goals, supported by a network of 200 CSR and disability officers across Maisons who meet regularly.

LVMH and its Maisons work to best serve the needs of each region and its employees.

In the US, Sephora has been working since 2017 to increase the proportion of people with disabilities working in its five distribution centres, with a goal of 30%. After hiring 109 people in 2022, 10% of distribution centre employees will be people with disabilities.

Since 2021, Louis Vuitton’s China team has successfully recruited 40 employees with disabilities into the retail sector.

In France, a vocational training programme has been launched to promote employment for people with disabilities. Since 2014, 102 people with disabilities have been offered training contracts at our Maisons.

The Group is proud to work with influential partners to support the disability community. LVMH supports Runway of Dreams, a non-profit organization that promotes disability inclusion in the fashion industry. Founded by Mindy Scheier, Runway of Dreams aims to change the way the fashion industry sees people with disabilities by hiring models with disabilities and designing clothes that fit them.
