With one slash of giant scissors, Support expanded its reach from Colorado’s Front Range into rural Colorado.
Support, Inc. describes itself as the leading provider of community-based solutions for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Colorado. Services include providing housing for clients, whether in a host home, group home, or private home or apartment, access to community programs, clinical programs, and more.

Jennifer Schutz, Sterling’s residential program coordinator, has her office in the Family Resource Center at 120 Main St. Sterling is the fifth location opened by Support Inc. The company is headquartered in Aurora and also has locations in Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Loveland. Sterling is the organization’s first location in rural Colorado.
Brian Fallestad, the company’s vice president of operations, indicated that Support is a company with more than 30 years of history.
“We’ve been doing this for 36 years and we want to be the agency that’s there for you,” he said. “We’re proud to be the agency that’s served Colorado for so many years.”
The company’s lead reception manager, Cathy Kellogg, said when Support executives were talking about expanding their footprint they were adamant about opening an office in Stirling.
“As someone who grew up in the countryside, I wanted to get a job as soon as I got here,” she says. “I was well aware that we lacked resources, and yet rural communities are vibrant in ways that cities can’t.”
The ribbon cutting also included a barbecue, door prize distribution and an arts and crafts event for children.
