California Watermelon Festival – A Sweet Slice of California: The festival celebrates watermelon — all by itself or infused in beverages, savory or sweet foods and spirits —  and also a display of carved watermelons, and a watermelon costume contest, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. June 22-23.
