What do I need to do to receive my disability benefits on July 24th?

Thousands of Americans waiting for disability benefits will be able to get new checks in the coming days, with the last checks the Social Security Administration will send to recipients on July 24. You are not required to receive your SSDI check, but you can get it under these conditions.

First, it’s important to understand that the Social Security Administration divides beneficiaries into four groups, and the type of benefit is not the key factor in determining which group you fall into. Therefore, as long as you meet the essential requirements, you can receive not only disability benefits, but also other retirement benefits.

July 24th: Eligibility requirements for disability benefits

There are only two requirements for the Social Security Administration to send us our July 24 disability benefits. The first requirement is that we have been receiving benefits since May 1997. This puts us in the second group of retirees, which is further divided into three groups.

Of this second group, those who receive the next-day benefit are those who were born between the 21st and 31st of each month. To receive this benefit, it is enough to meet the above requirements.

Future payments to disability benefit recipients

After the July 24 payment, people will have to wait until August to receive their new Social Security disability benefits, and this next payment also won’t be available to all Americans because they have to meet different requirements.

We’re talking about Supplemental Social Security Income, a type of monthly check that’s only for the neediest Americans. If you’re eligible for SSI payments, you’ll get this new check on August 1. After that payment, there’ll be a slight delay, but then later that month you’ll get your retirement benefits.

To be precise, your August disability benefits will arrive on the 2nd, 14th, 21st, or 28th. Different groups of Americans will receive benefits on each of these dates. Check the requirements for each to find out the exact days.
