Woman pepper sprayed during Los Angeles home invasion: police


Two suspects involved in a Los Angeles home invasion used pepper spray on residents, police said.

According to preliminary information, Los Angeles Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Crescent Heights Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sky 5 footage showed the back door of the home smashed into pieces, and officers with guns drawn could be seen approaching the back of the house.

A woman who was in the home at the time was pepper sprayed before fleeing, police confirmed.

She then called 911 from a neighbor’s house.

Los Angeles Police said property was stolen from the home, but did not say what specifically was taken.

The woman was treated at the scene but was not taken to hospital.

Both suspects are described as black men wearing black masks.

The investigation into the home invasion is currently in its early stages.
